Caring for others has been part of DCC for decades. In 2021, we began an intentional focus in growing our missions program. We want to have personal relationships with the missionaries we support which really makes people real no matter where they are in the world.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
We hold Missions Moments sessions once a month. This is when we set aside a time to hear updates from our supported missionaries. This may be in person (which is ideal) or with the help of technology we meet via Zoom®. It is expensive for missionaries to travel back home, so technology is very helpful in reducing expenses yet still having connectivity to their supporting churches. These MMs are our chance to stay connected and updated.
We strive for a world-wide focus and opportunity to serve in person.
Thats why we have had (and will continue to have) missions opportunities to give people the chance to serve. That may be near or far, a drive or a plane ride; we are constantly reminded that God equips those who are called.
